Responsible for taking ocular, medical, and family history, chief complaint, completes visual acuity, refraction, OCT, and other testing as necessary. This position assists the doctor in minor procedures, does pre-op measurements for cataract and other eye surgeries, schedules surgery, and assists the front desk with phones and patient messages as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications: Education:High school diploma or GED. Experience:Minimum 2 years ophthalmology experience. 5 years experience preferred. Certification/Registration:Certified Ophthalmic Tech (COT). Other Skills and Knowledge:Outstanding patient service skills and Microsoft Office skills.
