As our part-time Bookkeeper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, allowing us to focus on our mission of service and compassion. What we offer Competitive pay: $20-$25/hr Flexible schedule: Work twice a month, 3-6 hours each time Opportunity to contribute to a community dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others What you’ll do Issue checks for various church expenses, including payroll for 4 people through QuickBooks Pay bills and process expense vouchers Reconcile check book balance monthly to ensure accuracy Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L statement What You Bring Prior bookkeeping experience preferred, including familiarity with QuickBooks Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters Established in 1870, First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson is a close-knit community with around 150 members. We're passionate about honoring God through action and outreach, from medical missions to supporting the homeless.
