4322 - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Description:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for managing pulmonary care for a diverse patient population, including critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adults, pediatrics, and neonates. Conducts thorough patient assessments, develops and implements respiratory care plans, and performs various technical procedures in emergency and general medical settings. Proficient in airway management, ventilator care, and emergency response. Demonstrates leadership skills, may serve as a Shift or Team Leader, and possesses advanced practice skills in therapeutic gas management and diagnostic procedures. Committed to accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall quality of respiratory care services. RESPONSIBILITIES: Meets expectations of the applicable Our Client Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Include, but are not limited to: Emergency (Code Blue and White) response; Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning; Delivery of aerosolized drugs; Ventilator management (i.e. setup and operation); Oral hygiene; Airway retaining device placement and maintenance; Airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices; Oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic monitoring; Chest film analysis; Bloodgas collection and analysis; EKG analysis; Accurate and complete documentation; Cleaning and stocking of equipment and supplies as necessary; Participate in CAP and JC surveys RRTs may function as Shift Leader or serve in the capacity of Team Leader Advanced practice skills may include: Therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2; Pulmonary Function Testing; Bronchoscopy assist; Hemodynamic Monitoring; Waveform analysis; Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (Desaturation Studies); Polysomnography; Transport duties Must Have's: 1 - 3 years of experience RT or RCP License in state of employment BLS RRT through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Salary: - -BASED ON EXPERIENCE $26-$39 Benefits: Competitive benefit package Skill-bridge program Access to ongoing training and professional development programs.
