Position Description Title: Power Platform Developer Intern Department: MIS Immediate Supervisor: Director - Application Development Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary Position Purpose: Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to design, build, and deploy applications, workflows, and automation tools that streamline business processes and enhance productivity. Principle Accountabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs for developing Power Platform solutions. Design, develop, and customize applications, workflows, and business process automation using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Create and maintain data models, entities, and connections within the Power Platform environment. Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of developed solutions to ensure functionality, performance, and user satisfaction. Assist in documenting technical specifications, user guides, and training materials for developed applications and processes. Stay updated with the latest features and capabilities of the Power Platform and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure the integration of Power Platform solutions with other systems and platforms. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews to contribute ideas and improve development practices. Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines while developing Power Platform solutions. Proactively seek opportunities to learn new technologies and enhance technical skills related to low-code development. Essential Skills and Experience Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong understanding of software development concepts and principles. Familiarity with low-code development platforms, preferably Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, or JavaScript is a plus. Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Self-motivated and eager to learn and apply new technologies.
