Overview & Responsibilities: Oversees all aspects of music, worship, and team development for North Ridge Church. Leads the worship culture and oversees all aspects of music in adult services. Collaborates with other pastoral leadership, worship directors/staff, key band volunteers, and student ministry leaders for special events, service planning, creative elements, setlists, etc. Collaborates with other pastoral staff weekly to build consensus around service flow for in-person services and online experiences. Collaborates with our student ministry band director for alignment with main services. Develops and leads the Tech and Production Teams. Oversees stage ideas and setup for weekend services and special events as needed. Is responsible for worship budgets, goals, and priorities, with assistance from the Pastor of Administration. Mentors and coaches all band members, musicians, and vocalists. Provides and initiates ongoing training for all volunteers under your care. Offers large training (i.e., all vocalists, all musicians, all tech team) to create a cohesive group, to build team synergy, and to provide updates. (2-3xs annually) Leads the band volunteers during weekend services, weekly practices, special events, funerals, weddings, etc. Recruits, develops, and schedules a healthy rotation of volunteers. Assists in building setlists, charting, and posting music/resources into PlanningCenter to ensure volunteers are prepared for rehearsals/services. Communicates important details weekly with the worship team regarding rehearsal and worship services (Special elements, transitions, new arrangements, etc.) Helps provide maintenance and care for worship team equipment (amps in working order, drum heads and hardware, keys sounds, and general equipment the band uses). Builds Ableton sets for weekly service and any other loops or tracks needed for worship or special creative elements. Helps organize and execute special events (team nights, worship nights, etc). Attends meetings for any staff development, creative planning, and evaluation. Evaluation and Compensation: The Worship Director receives an annual performance evaluation. Compensation is reviewed annually.
