Job Description Title: Project Manager ( Medical Contract Manufacturing) Reports to: Director of Commercial Operations Schedule : Day Shift, Monday - Friday Pay: 85K - 105K+Exempt + Potential 10% Annual Bonus Benefits: Full time associates are eligible for benefits the first of the month following 30 days of service. Works with Business Development Managers (BDMs), customers, and Innovize project team members to develop overall project scope and shared project plans. Uses project management skills to manage the project scope, time, and cost, develop the team, track and report progress against the plan, and take action to drive successful closing of all assigned projects. Works with Vice President of Sales and Marketing to manage and improve the Innovize "Speed to Market" process (Project Management process). Provide mentoring of all associates involved with project management and be an active member of the PROMPT team (Project Recognition, Oversight & Management, Process Team (PROMPT team) Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as Project Manager for all of your CFTs Projects that require project management. Suggest and coordinate outside resources (contractors) with customer focused team members that can assist with quality engineering and engineering for specific projects Assists project team members with proactive resource decisions driven by working on important and urgent activities first, as managed by activity due dates in CRM. Work with individuals, if they are unsure of priorities and facilitate decision making if conflicting due dates need a decision on what to work on first. Provide mentoring, coaching, and direction setting to all team members involved with project management. Provide expertise and consulting to Business Development Managers in the process of project management as well as with softer skills of team dynamics, team building, and group motivation. Works with BDM's and customers to develop project scope and shared plan that include analysis of probable revenue, costs, resource requirements, work schedule and any related risks for top projects. Facilitate the project team to review and monitor project work in CRM to ensure that progress is within expected milestones and is completed on time for assigned projects. Take decisive proactive actions to prevent or minimize the effects of problems on project performance for assigned projects. Identify, track, monitor and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise from assigned projects and communicates budget and timeline implications. Drive projects at the Speed to Market meeting, which focus on new business development, to understand the big picture for all resources, as well as to help review current written project plans and add detailed activities in CRM. Attend the Sales Round Table team meetings that focus on new business development, to understand the big picture and resource needs, as well as to help review current written project plans and add detailed activities in CRM. Be an active member of the PROMPT Team Other duties as required Accountabilities: Accountable for meeting CFT team goals and company-wide goals for 1) Revenue and Profit contribution, Cost Savings, Project Revenue, Quality and CFT goals for Quotes on time. Accountable for leading all projects (Revenue generating and Cost Savings) that require project management on your CFT through the use of plans and activities in CRM for your team, following the principles of Agile, Scrum and the processes defined in the Innovize "Speed to Market "process. Accountable for Meeting with your BDMs (at least monthly, likely more often) to confirm customer needs and deliverables and treating them as the "Product Owner" (to use SCRUM terms) and documenting important deliverables in the CRM project plan (who, what, when) Accountable supporting the Innovize weekly (and Quarterly) meeting rhythm by: Planning and documenting all project tasks in CRM, prior to or at your Monday Sprint planning meeting to insure these are the top priorities for your CFT and their weekly sprint. Being prepared for the Tuesday "Speed to Market" meeting to insure coordination of projects in the Planning, Development and Manufacturing Transfer project phases Leading your team huddle as needed to insure your weekly sprint is on track Assessing deliverables at the end of each week, lead discussions on how the CFT can improve for next week and starting to plan next week's sprint Participating in your functional team's (Outside Sales Team, Project Managers) Friday Morning meetings Holding individual Project Planning meetings (at least 1 per week) to make sure we have the best plans possible. At least Quarterly (and preferably more often) hold a 2-hour big picture meeting where you review your team's projects to insure you are Prioritizing the right projects. This must include: 1) Qualified customer scores, 2) Qualified Project scores, 3) Expected Close Date 4) 1-year PC, 5) 3-year PC, 6) Resources Hours, 7) PC/ per resource Hour and 8) BDM Priority. The end result of this meeting will be the CFT Team's Top 10 projects recorded in CRM and the team's understanding (through discussion) of their top Projects and resources needed in the next quarter and beyond. It is also your responsibility to make sure that each member of the team has a voice in what is not going well and any projects that need a more aggressive plan or projects that should be ended. Accountable for meeting individual Learning and Development goals as well as delivering project training and demonstrated improvement in the project process. Well defined project plans, milestones and progress towards success for all projects managed through CRM Accountable for meeting Work Habits Verification goals, including the next few actions for each active project documented in CRM and at least one follow-up action for every dormant project in CRM. Training/Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated evidence of a disciplined project management process Agile and Scrum knowledge, Scum master certification preferred (or commitment to obtain it in within 90 days). Minimum 5 years' experience in medical device/converting industry, strongly preferred Proven experience in developing cross functional relationship skills. Previous experience developing and implementing strategies that significantly Increase revenue and effectively manage change. Applied knowledge of IQ, OQ, Validations and both FDA and ISO 13485 requirements for medical converting projects, preferred. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of CRM, MS Word, MS Project, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent personal communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to ensure open communication across all members of project teams, including direct customer communications Strong problem-solving skills; analytical and critical thinking focused on providing solutions. Solid ability to lead, influence and negotiate.
