Description: We are Lockheed Martin This position supports ADP Flight Test Instrumentation based out of the LM Aero Marietta site.Candidate will design, develop, document, and support the installation and operation of data acquisition systems for aircraft flight testing. Will be working on mechanical and hardware design, software design (C/C++, VBA), system integration, signal conditioning (e.g. strain gages, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, displacement transducers, synchro's), calibration methods, IRIG 106 PCM, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, IRIG 200 serial time code, Ethernet, GPS, telemetry (L-Band/S-Band), solid-state recording, digital video recording, and aircraft test instrumentation wiring. Will coordinate with the Electrical instrumentation and Systems engineers on the solutions to data acquisition products. Will coordinate with the Data Processing Team on the formats of the data acquisition products. Will work with union-represented technicians and mechanics to fabricate and install instrumentation designs. This position requires occasional travel and odd-shift, overtime, and weekend work on an as necessary basis. Domestic and International Travel are required for this position.A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.**Must be a US Citizen. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering * Flight Test Instrumentation design and operation* Data Acquisition System (DAS) Architecture* Digital Signal Processing* CAD tools, such as, CATIA V5, SolidWorks Desired Skills: * Aircraft avionic systems and mechanical systems instrumentation design* Experience with transducer / sensor selection and installation for instrumentation systems (strain gages, accelerometers, fiber optics, etc.)* Extensive knowledge of common communication busses, e.g. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, etc.* Experience with a fast-paced and rapidly changing flight test environment* Experience with Flight Line operations* Data Processing Design and Operations* Firmware/Software Development* Programming including experience with C/C++, MATLAB, VBA * Analog-to-digital converters* Teletronics (TTC) / Curtis-Wright signal conditioning and data encoders* Zodiac / Safran digital data recorders* Telemetry* Cyber Security* Airworthiness* Advanced Development Programs (ADP)* Secret DoD clearance (or higher) with ability to obtain a TS* Corrective Action and Problem-Solving skills* Effective verbal and written communication skills* Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
