The Role Lumen is seeking early:career or second:career self:starters who are self:motivated with high technical aptitude and interest in a Network and Telecomm Customer Support role. You will participate in our Ops Academy which is a robust training program to jump:start and enable your success in this role. This rigorous program is designed to develop tech:savvy individuals in the areas of network operations, IP, and customer care where you will learn about our technology, networks, products, processes, and customer service best practices. This is an onsite role in our WA market. Office Location:7850B South Trafton St, Bld B Tacoma, WA 98409 The Main Responsibilities stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Designing, installing, and maintaining fiber optic cable systems and equipment in our data centers and offices.: Using systems such as Sitetracker, SAP, NDS, GSA, MS Office Applications, Autocad and/or Microstation to plan, manage, and document OSP projects.: Managing budgets, ordering materials, processing invoices, and resolving issues related to OSP projects.: Working with networking optical hardware, such as transponders, amplifiers, switches, routers, and servers.: Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, such as outages, performance degradation, and configuration errors..: Building relationships with business partners, customers, and vendors.: Creating maintenance requests and ensuring timely completion of work orders.: Demonstrating multi:discipline expertise and responsibility. What We Look For in a Candidate Required Qualifications: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: High School Diploma: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.: Strong analytic, leadership and presentation skills: Ability to work well independently or within a group.: Willingness to travel to different locations as needed.: Comfortable working in an outside environment.Preferred Qualifications: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.: Knowledge of fiber optic network principles, standards, and best practices.: Certification or training in fiber optic technology, such as CFOT, CFOS, or FOA. Compensation The starting salary for this role differs based on the employees primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individuals qualifications. Location Based Pay Ranges 53,625 : 71,500 in these states: WA As with the pay range variety thats based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
