Senior DevOps Engineer - Join the Innovative Team at Preferred Risk Insurance Services Location : Bedford Park, IL (On-site 3 days a week w/hybrid schedule flexibility) Preferred Risk Insurance Services Overview : Preferred Risk Insurance Services is on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Senior DevOps Engineer to expand our technological horizons. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in bridging operations and development, streamlining our project lifecycles, and enhancing our infrastructure. This is an on-site position based at our Bedford Park, IL corporate headquarters, with potential for a flexible hybrid work schedule. Duties & Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust DevOps solutions. Collaborate with development teams to automate and optimize continuous delivery pipelines. Design and manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution. Drive containerization and orchestration efforts, using tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Develop and enforce best practices for version control, configuration management, and documentation. Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and practices. Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies, keeping our processes at the cutting edge. Provide mentorship and guidance to Dev team members. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or similar role. Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration. Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), including infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, CircleCI). Knowledge of container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm). Solid understanding of network architecture and security principles. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience. Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required.
