Broetje Automation is seeking a field service technician local to the Savannah, GA area. US locations include Buffalo (NY), Chicago (IL), Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA), Wichita (KS), Detroit (MI), Mobile, (AL) and Seattle (WA). Education & Experience: Technical Certificate OR BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, and ideally 3+ years of experience within the industrial automation industry or equivalent experience Desirable Experience: Siemens Step 7 PLC troubleshooting experience Siemens 840D series CNC troubleshooting experience NEC Certification Machine Tool maintenance experience Qualifications: Strong fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, programming, and system integration Experience in IEC61131 (PLC programming languages) CNC troubleshooting experience Knowledge of NC Controllers: Siemens 840D or WINCC Experienced in troubleshooting electrical control panels Strong communication skills & ability to interact with teams, clients, and vendors Confidence when communicating with customers from management to maintenance technicians Ability to analyze and diagnose automation problems Experience using precision measurement equipment (i.e. Dial indicators, calipers, etc.) Job Responsibilities: Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise in support of new equipment & system introductions Internal subject matter expert in control systems (Siemens PLC, HMI, Motion Control Systems), system integration, sensors, & electromechanical devices Apply knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming Work to develop training procedures and documentation for US-based field service Modify S7 PLC programming within Broetje’s standard for machine retrofits and modifications as needed Machine commissioning and troubleshooting support Train customer’s staff & new technicians in machine & robot operation as needed Maintain logs & written records of duties performed Compensation/Benefits: 401(k) company match 100% paid healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision) Disability plan & group life insurance program Three weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) plus 12 paid holidays Tuition reimbursement program www.broetje-automation.com and www.youtube.com/user/BROETJEAutomationPowered by JazzHR
