CUPE Local 3902 (Unit 3) Job Posting Sessional Lecturer Position Posting Date: August 30, 2023 Program: Master of Health Science in Health System Leadership and Innovation Session al D ates of A ppointment: Winter 2024, January to April Course Title: HAD2012H Leading and Innovating in Canada’s Digital Health Ecosystem Course Description: Now, more than ever, there is a need for health systems leaders to have the skills to leverage analytical insights, patient experience and research evidence to make health systems decisions that will result in higher quality, safer, more efficient care for patients. Health systems leaders need training to align “science, informatics, incentives, and culture” to promote “continuous improvement and innovation, with best practices seamlessly embedded in the delivery process and new knowledge captured as an int egral by ‐ product of the delivery experience ” (Institute of Medicine, 2015). Building on the concepts of learning health systems, this online seminar course will equip leaners with the foundational skills required to lead health systems innovation research. Objectives At the completion of this course, students will be able to: Systematically gather and apply evidence in real-time to guide health systems innovation. Integrate patients’ values and technological advances to transform health care delivery backss outcomes refine processes for continuous quality improvement. Demonstrate the outcomes and outputs of the innovation in patient care and quality.
