PURPOSE: This position is responsible for analysis of all credit and accounts receivable related services of the builder center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Coordinate the accounts receivables and credit processes to ensure timely collections by following-up on invoices and obtaining required sign-offs to guarantee payment · Review the aging of receivables and take action to collect outstanding debt by ensuring completeness of required paperwork including required authorizations · Review and coordinate the QMAPS process locally to ensure appropriate sales credits are processed · Work with customer contract file information to develop contact profiles to ensure customer payment policies and procedures are documented and followed · Perform account reconciliations and prepare periodic financial reports for management's review · Review builder center's compliance with credit financial policies and procedures · Receive PO's and coordinate shipping orders with receipt transactions · Review and coordinate all product returns to the assembly plant · Serve as a back-up for the processing of payroll · Perform research for special projects as assigned SUPERVISES: This position could be responsible for the supervision of one credit clerk in the builder center. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Education and/or Experience · Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field · Minimum of 3 to 5 years of credit and collections, accounts receivables, or general accounting experience · Supervisory experience in an accounting, financial, operations or manufacturing environment · Knowledge of GAAP and experience in GAAP research · Advanced computer skills including Microsoft products, specifically Access, Excel and Word · Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills · Ability to build effective business relationships with customers and internal clients Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities or respond to common inquires from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to such tasks as statistical and financial math calculations, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and lift a minimum of 20 pounds. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Some out-of-town travel may be required. Occasional weekend work and extended evening hours is required.
