About the opportunityThe Research & Development team is looking for a Summer Intern to support its York, PA lab facility. This position will support the day-to-day functions of the lab, focusing on the testing of refractory products and raw materials. Tasks include, but are not limited to:▪Grain size distribution analysis of refractory products and raw materials.▪Chemical analysis by x-ray fluorescence techniques.▪Sample preparation for various testing methods.▪Physical testing (strength, density, porosity, etc.) for various refractory types. About you:In addition to being enrolled in a technical, engineering, or chemistry discipline, you also have:▪Desire to work in a research or manufacturing environment.▪Willingness to learn new test methods and analytical skills.▪Ability work with high-temperature test equipment.▪Ability to work in potentially dusty environments.▪Good communication skills.▪A high school diploma or equivalent.
