Practice Area: Corporate - General,Corporate - Securities and Capital Markets, Job Type: Partner, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 8 Years, Akron office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks business transactions and corporate counseling partner with 8+ years of relevant work experience in either a law firm or corporate legal environment handling broad corporate / business transactional matters. The candidate will work with high profile clients. Will communicate with clients to commence an engagement, to keep the matter moving forward on a timely basis, and to make certain that the firm's efforts are in tune with the client's needs. Delegate tasks when appropriate, yet maintain sufficient direct client contact to ensure the client is satisfied with the progress on the matter and the amount of the attorney's involvement. Draft and administer all legal contracts and agreements. Develop a client following to increase the firm's revenues and keep track of and post all billable and non-billable work. Monitor work in progress to minimize any account receivable or write-off of fees. Develop a client following to increase the firm's revenues and keep track of and post all billable and non-billable work. Make recommendations to improve processes that will increase service quality and efficiency and responsiveness to clients. Participate in firm's marketing activities, including public speaking engagements, writing articles and blogs, leading external seminars, and other activities. Experience in securities is preferred. A portable book of business is needed. This Ohio-based firm was founded almost 100 years ago. A sizable group of practiced lawyers handle business/corporate securities; intellectual property, environmental law, and other areas of law. The firm is committed to community outreach endeavors throughout the year.Additional Skills: The candidate should have a J.D. degree. Excellent communications skills - both oral and written - are required. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are needed. Track record of being collaborative and team oriented is essential. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills is a must. Should be highly organized with acute attention to detail, and ability to operate with an action orientation in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. Sense of urgency, hunger, and drive/commitment is needed. Ability to anticipate client needs/forward-thinking and solutions-oriented approach at all times is required.
