Position Overview Street Reach is part of Tracia's Trust, the Manitoba government's strategy to prevent interactionual exploitation of children and youth. The Street Reach program currently includes a Winnipeg team with representation from child welfare, law enforcement and non-governmental organizations who work collaboratively to respond to children and youth at high risk of being violently victimized through the interaction trade. Street Reach team members believe that child/youth interactionual abuse, regardless of the causes (interaction trade, family history, third party pressure), is a complex community issue. It is recognized that many of the youth involved with Street Reach struggle with both mental health and addictions issues, and the inclusion of clinicians with such expertise on the Street Reach team is invaluable.
