Position: Data Analyst Location: Surrey, BC Application Deadline: Until position is filled Job Details: $41.00/hr @ 35 hrs/week Job Type- Full-time and Permanent Job Description: As a Data analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting & analyzing results, developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality. Working closely with the IT team, faculty, and staff, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring data from various resources ( primary and secondary) and maintaining databases/data systems. Remove corrupted data. Your primary duties will include: Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and ensure validity of all data to be presented to staff and students. Identify, analyze, and compile data from multiple backssments to develop student, subject, grade-level, or school achievement profiles. Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality Collaborating with IT staff to ensure improved administrative decision-making and organizational resource allocation for educational technology and online learning platforms. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field Proven work experience as a Database analyst or in a similar role. In depth knowledge of My SQL, Oracle , MS SQL, Java script, Excel. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word to create interactive dashboards and reports. Excellent ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on the data. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
