Position Overview The Patient Care Manager provides leadership for the health care team in promoting patient/resident centered care. The Patient Care Manager promotes stewardship of financial resources and ensures that adequate human and material resources are available to support the 24-hour delivery of safe, quality patient/resident care. The Patient Care Manager creates an environment that enables the facility/region to fulfill its mission and achieve established performance goals. The Patient Care Manager seeks to promote and maintain a professional, team oriented and service conscious environment wherein quality improvement opportunities are pursued and risk is mitigated. The Patient Care Manager demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit. Experience Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated knowledge and skill in Leadership and Management in a health care setting with a focus on mental health. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Undergraduate Degree in Nursing or other related health care discipline required. Graduate Degree in Nursing, Administration or other related health care discipline preferred. Certification/Licensure/Registration Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or other.
