We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant to join our client's dedicated Acoustics team. Ideally, this position will be based in Dublin, although they may consider candidates for our Cork or Carlow offices as well. With a broad portfolio of projects spanning environmental, renewable energy, transportation, and infrastructure sectors, there are ample opportunities for career development within their organization. As a leader in our Acoustics team, you will work on a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects. The ideal candidate will have experience contributing to proposals and providing expert advice on acoustics across various sectors. We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate their expertise in scoping, resourcing, and delivering complex acoustics projects. Strong experience in sound, noise, and vibration (SNV) technical areas is preferred, with a track record of handling both small-scale and large multi-disciplinary projects. Additionally, effective communication skills to explain acoustics to non-technical audiences are highly valued. Responsibilities: Lead a wide range of acoustics projects, including environmental acoustics, renewable energy acoustics, transportation acoustics, and occupational noise and vibration. Develop and mentor junior staff, including providing line management support. Preferred Qualifications: Degree (1.1 or 2.1) in acoustics or a relevant technical discipline (e. g. Physics, Maths, or Engineering), and preferably a post-graduate qualification such as a Masters's or Ph D. Membership in MIOA/FIOA. Chartered status or evidence of working towards it. Minimum Requirements: Thorough understanding of the Environmental Impact backssment process related to Noise and Vibration (N&V). Ability to scope and determine onsite noise monitoring requirements.
