We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our car dealership’s service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. Responsibilities: • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools• Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems• Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more• Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics • Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes• Preventive Maintenance• Diagnostic Experience• Mechanical Repairs• Troubleshooting Qualifications: • Possess a high school diploma or GED• Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal• Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred• Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary Compensation: $70,000 About Company: We are a family-owned dealership that has been in business for 80 years.
