Addiction and Mental Health Worker, Housing Stability (Elgin) Mental Health Worker (OPSEU, Elgin) Full-Time, Permanent St. Thomas; Elgin County Catchment Area - Application Deadline: August 29, 2023 - The Addiction and Mental Health Worker with Housing Stability provides high intensity community-based services and supports to individuals who are transitioning from chronic homelessness to short-stay transitional housing (typically up to 1 year), with an ultimate goal of securing and maintaining permanent housing. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you'll be making - $27.84 per hour with possible additional shift premiums of $1.18/hour for registration with an accepted college (OCSWSSW, COTO, CNO, CRPO, CPO), or the TRO, and/or completed Masters education relevant to this position, for a maximum premium of $2.36/hour When you'll work - 70 hours over two-week period, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm What your benefits will be - After a 90-day waiting period, will be enrolled in extended healthcare benefits Your pension plan – Immediately enrolled in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) PSLRTA Notice - This posting characterizes this position as currently unionized under the Elgin Collective Agreement. However, please be aware that the organization on September 29, 2022, a vote was held as a result of an application by the Organization under the Public Sector Labour Relations Transition Act. The result was that employees voted to award OPSEU bargaining rights for all employees. Until such time as a new collective agreement is finalized, current terms and conditions of employment and existing, applicable collective agreements, if any, will remain in force and effect. HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Primary Worker: Act as designated Primary Worker for up to 6 individuals in a staffed shared housing setting, with services appropriate to a rapid transitional.
