We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to compliment our team! Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting the child care centre as directed. This position will be at our Bellmoore centre for 15 hours per week, 3:00pm-6:00pm. Why work for Us? (including wage grants) What are we Looking For? To be considered for this role, the right candidate will have the following qualifications: Experience: Minimum Secondary School diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children OR Related experience in a childcare setting, working with school age children is preferred Education: Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR diploma in a related field is a definite asset Certifications Standard First Aid with CPR level C Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check Proof of up to date immunization for TB, Tetanus and MMR Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Demonstrates awareness and knowledge.
