By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members. Good Shepherd is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Mental Health Worker - Homes (temporary full time - up to 18 months) How You Will Make an Impact Provide tenants with primary case management and community resources Services to tenants include backssment & planning Provide crisis prevention and intervention and supportive counseling Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality and Dignity What You'll Bring to Our Team A post-secondary education in social or health services A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required Adhere to working and operating within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework What We Offer Be a part of a caring TEAM THAT SUPPORTS OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY Support for continuing EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Staff recognition programs along with access to self-care supports and EMPLOYEE / FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) POSITIVE.
