The successful candidate will be an academic clinician who represents scholarly achievement and clinical excellence. The successful applicant should be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and will be expected to work in the position description of Clinician Teacher or Clinician in Quality & Innovation. Effective start date is July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter. The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate clinician with an outstanding record of accomplishment in areas that include medical education, research, and quality with a strong commitment to rehabilitation of individuals living with complications from cancer. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient consultations. There is also a desire to develop inter-professional collaborative clinics with related specialties such as oncology and palliative care to develop new strategies to optimize function and recovery. This includes facilitating exercise prescriptions for oncology patients, development of clinical pathways, and research for cancer rehabilitation care and exercise. The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, be eligible for certification in Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, have, or be eligible for, licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of.
