The R&D Pilot Operator Intern will maintain process testing systems to support the Technology Team's validation process for new product introduction at a pilot level and full-scale customer sites. Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct tests for water and wastewater products and systems, including monitoring, documentation, chemical dosing, inspections, and communication with test leaders. Perform analytical laboratory tests and document the results accurately to characterize process water samples. Assist with maintaining and modifying fluid system components such as PVC piping spools, valves, pumps, blowers, and calibrating instruments. Collaborate closely with suppliers to source and procure fluid system components and consumables, ensuring accurate and timely billing and invoicing. Provide on-call and weekend support for the testing facility, as needed. Act as backup for Oakville pilot operator, as needed. Ensure safe and efficient facility operations by collaborating on health and safety, maintenance, and improvement activities with the team. Education & Experience Required: Pursuing a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering/Technology or a related technical discipline focused on water/wastewater treatment. Valid Ontario G2 or G class driver’s license. Preferred: Knowledge or experience in water/wastewater treatment, preferably with direct exposure to membrane products and processes.
