Teck is looking for an experienced Environmental Projects Engineer or Specialist to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to Superintendent, Environmental Improvement, the Senior Environmental Projects Engineer or Specialist is responsible for advancing the development of pre-defined environmental improvement projects, participating in the development and implementation of environmental improvement strategies and supporting the Environmental Monitoring team to identify and resolve environmental problems. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Works in collaboration with the Projects department and engineering contractors, through all stages of project management to advance environmental improvement projects Key focus areas include effluent, noise and fugitive dust.
