Responsibilities: To develop mechanical devices from concept through to manufacture; meeting safety, reliability, cost, manufacturing and performance requirements Participate in the development, testing and approval of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems Plan and execute design verification and validation activities To develop new products using a modular approach, maximizing reusability and efficiency Preparation of technical and regulatory documentation, including drawings, production documentation, BOM, assembly instructions etc. Use computer assisted engineering and design software and tools to perform engineering tasks Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and time/cost budgeting Communicate with different parties customer, vendor, internal engineering and manufacturing to ensure product meet customer requirements and quality standards Meeting projects scheduled deadlines and budgets Order components, tools and services as required for product and prototype development Education and Experience: Sc. in Mechanical Engineering Working knowledge of Auto CAD or similar 3D software Good interpersonal and communication skills 5 -7 years' experience in designing mechanical devises from concept Strong problem solving and analytical skills required Ability to interface effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing departments.
