Position Overview:Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking applicants for a full-time, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in our Early Intervention (EI) department for the Tri County region for the 2018-2019 school year. The goal of an SLP is to provide remedial services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, or hearing disorders with the outcome of improving expressive/receptive communication and attain the necessary speech and language skills.Required Qualifications:- PA Educational Specialist Certificate School Speech and Language Pathologist PK-12- PA State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's) PreferredEssential Functions:- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.- Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
