This full-time appointment will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto with a position description as a Clinician in Quality Improvement (CQI), Clinician Teacher (CT), or Clinician Educator (CE), at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. It is expected that the position will be approximately 70% clinical and 30% related to quality improvement or teaching, respectively for CQI or CT; or 50% clinical and 50% related to educational activities and/or scholarship for CE. Expected start date is July 1, 2024, or a mutually agreeable date thereafter. We are seeking a physician who will deliver and foster excellence in academic general internal medicine. The successful candidate will join the Division of General Internal Medicine, which currently has 21 full time members. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in general internal medicine clinical activities in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. They will also be expected to participate in the educational activities of the Division and provide exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, have or be eligible for certification in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have or be eligible for medical licensure in Ontario.
