IT Support Specialist St. Gabriel's Catholic School is seeking a Technology Support Specialist whose primary responsibility will be day-to-day support of the school's educational technology tools and act as a liaison between faculty, parents and students. T he ability and willingness to communicate effectively with users to understand their issue and explain the solution while building strong professional relationships is key . Additionally, this position will require technical support and troubleshooting of Windows laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, AV, sound equipment, interactive displays, printers, Webex video conferencing, Google Suite and wi-fi connectivity issues. The ideal candidate is focused on the customer experience and possesses the ability to communicate in a positive and encouraging manner that builds trust and respect while easing anxiety. A passion for learning and professional growth are key as well as the willingness to take on new challenges and tasks with enthusiasm. Essential Duties Provide exceptional technology support and service to faculty/staff, students and parents for technology-related issues. Including, but not limited to, Windows laptops, Chrombooks, iPads, Webex video conferencing, interactive displays, network and wi-fi connectivity issues. Engage day-to-day with faculty/staff to provide training and support for the integration of technology into the classroom curriculum Assist with the maintenance, repair and inventory of all school technology Assist with the administration of the SGS Google Domain and other device management platforms including user accounts, access and apps Utilize the helpdesk ticketing system to manage and prioritize support requests. Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor and work habits Maintain a work schedule that maximizes availability and presence to the School, students, faculty and staff Support and uphold the philosophy of mission of the School Support and adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the School and the Diocese Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in supporting a variety of platforms including Windows, Chrome OS and Apple OS/iOS General knowledg e of computer hardware and software maintenance and support Knowledge of the Google Suite for Education and the Blackbaud K-12 OnSuite is preferable. Ability to interact professionally with administrators, faculty / staff and students in an educational setting Skill in handling multiple, simultaneous requests, prioritizing issues and responding to support requests Desire to work in an educational setting where daily interactions with faculty/staff, students and parents is a requirement. Ability to communicate in a positive and encouraging manner that builds trust and respect while easing anxiety. Capacity to work both autonomously and as a team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or Two years of professional experience supporting technology in an educational setting with a proactive approach to support.
