Description:

Maintain proper irrigation on all grounds; operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment; maintain golf course grounds. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Designs, implements, and maintains mechanical and electrical components of complex irrigation system (Toro). Repairs equipment associated with irrigation. Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with irrigation. Maintains records on all equipment maintenance associated with irrigation. Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment. Irrigates all grounds as needed. Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned. Conducts all work in compliance with OSHA standards, guidelines, personal protective equipment etc. Complies with all Resort policies and procedures. Operates and maintains golf course equipment when necessary. Follows all state and local safety and environmental standards. Other duties as directed. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Extensive knowledge of turf, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, golf course equipment and irrigation technology. Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary. Keen attention to detail and strong sense of urgency. EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS Proven work experience as an irrigation tech. Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems. SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Endure long hours of being exposed to all types of weather conditions. Required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. Frequently requires the ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, and climb. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-70 lbs.
