Regional Hand Center of Central California has an exciting opportunity for an Account Payable and Billing Assistant to join our team! This at-will full time position enjoys a Monday through Friday, (8:00PM - 5:00PM), with weekends and holidays off. Purpose : The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company and assisting the billing team and Chief Business Officer Essential Responsibilities: Facilities payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies.Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.Reviews, gets CBO approval, and forwards all invoices to CPA firm.Sorts the mail and delivers to proper recipients.Prepares daily bank deposits and takes them to the bank as needed.Scans and safeguards accounts payable and billing documentation.Assists billing in generating and sending insurance claims and billing statements.Assists billing obtain benefit eligibility and authorization.Assists admin office by ordering and maintaining office supplies. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED; Business or Accounting Degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other account and billing software programs.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with vendors and suppliers.
