Description:
You will serve on a team whose job is to help Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort engage with all its audiences who want to create a memorable experience at the Resort. This position is responsible for the overall supervision of the daily operations of The General Store including staff management, financial management, merchandising, sales, and customer service, ensuring best practices and meeting quality standards to achieve key results and support company strategies. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to care about our guests, and the impact you make on their lives . ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Must effectively lead and supervise all employees who work within the store When interacting with each guest, leave them with a "WOW" story to tell about their experience Share customer impact stories with your team in meetings and with management Maintain store staff by coaching & counseling employees, planning, monitoring, and helping appraise job results Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining inventory Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods Maintain awareness of market trends Monitor loss prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage Maximize sales potential to meet monthly sales goals Advise Manager of customer complaints and concerns and action steps taken Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal and sanitation requirements Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service Assists Manager with monthly and weekly inventory duties Other duties as assigned GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Strong background in customer service. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge in merchandising operations. Demonstrate leadership skills with self-starter tendencies Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS College level coursework in a related field preferred Minimum high school graduate SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Long hours of standing REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WITH DISABILITIES
