Position Summary The Maintenance Tech will carry out the missions, visions, and values established by the Board of Directors. Qualifications Experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintaining all types of Grain Processing equipment including, but not limited to: Hammer Mills, Conveyers, Pumps, Centrifuges, Mechanical Controls, Motors, Gearboxes, and Boilers. Understand welding principles associated with stick welding , TIG and MIG , Plasma, and Oxyacetylene skills PC literate with the ability to do basic documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to read and understand equipment documentation including: Mechanical Prints, Structural Prints, and Repair Manuals. Ability to do rotating machine alignment including: Coupling, Sheaves, and Sprockets. Ability to physically lift 75 pounds Ability to work in a team environment keeping a level head in fast paced situations Ability to physically ascend and descend up to 200 stairs Ability to physically ascend and descend step and extension ladders Ability to physically perform tasks overhead as well as below knee level Have the ability and desire to troubleshoot, repair or replace any equipment outside of the normal working hours Work smart, expediently, and above all safely Comfortable working in the following situations: Heights (up to 300'), Confined Spaces, Outside year round, Full Chemical Suit PPE, Fall Protection Harness and Respirators Willing to share your existing knowledge as well as being a fast learner. Willing to work outside of the normal working hours as needed to maintain production. Willingness and ability to be on call Work smart, expediently, and above all Safely Comfortable with basic wiring on de-energized equipment. Example: Unwiring a 3 phase motor. Reporting to this position: None Description of Duties: Perform expert troubleshooting, installation and repair techniques mechanical manufacturing equipment Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment Maintain facilities and grounds Project participation where needed Assist process technicians when necessary Teach fellow maintenance technicians installation and repair of equipment Learn from more experience maintenance and process technicians Maintain spare parts inventory Project implementation from conception to completion Carry out PM's and daily work assignments Share previous knowledge gained with your coworkers, be a Team Player possessing the ability to work with minimal supervision Have the ability to quickly learn our maintenance software (Mapcon) to document equipment repair and maintain our parts inventory This is not an entry level position some experience is necessary. Be sure to include details of your Maintenance experience that would directly relate to the job description Assist maintenance manager with daily routine and work assignments Use CMMS to document time spent, parts used on equipment maintenance, prepare P.O.s , receive parts and stock spare parts All other duties as assigned Physical Demands and work environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
