Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Good Neighbor Society in Manchester, IA is looking to hire a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist our senior residents with the activities of daily living while showing them care and compassion. Our retirement community was originally founded in July 1963, and in the beginning, we only had the ability to aid up to 55 people. After years of continued support from our community and expansion on four separate occasions, we're now able to comfortably serve up to 100 residents! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you arrive for each shift at our retirement community determined to treat each senior with respect and kindness. You do everything you can to preserve their dignity, as you provide the individualized physical, psychological, and social support that they need. Whether working the day shift, swing shift, or night shift, your positive attitude makes a big impact as you assist with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, skin care, nail care, oral hygiene, and shaving. You also assist them with their nutrition by making sure they get meals and snacks as well as stay hydrated. Encouraging residents to move when necessary, you patiently help them with walking and transferring them to chairs, wheelchairs, or beds. You keep accurate records as required and are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of residents to the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. Your attention to detail and accuracy help ensure the highest quality of care, and your compassionate nature helps each resident feel sincerely and personally cared for. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT Physical ability to perform the necessary functions of the job Current CNA certification or obtain CNA certification within 4 months of hire Are you kind and patient? If so, you might just be perfect for this retirement community position! WORK SCHEDULE FOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT This position offers stable, full-time work! You typically work 5 days/week. Shifts include a day shift of 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, a swing shift of 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and a night shift of 10:00 pm - 6:30 am. The swing shifts and night shift pay $3 extra/hr.
