System Administrator/ Network Analyst FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Engineering Starting Pay: $20-$22 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Summary A North Alabama Manufacturer is seeking to hire a System Network Administrator to join their team. The System Network Administrator supports internal users in the installation and upgrading of desktop computers, printers, and other networking paraphernalia. Primarily works with the operating system and software which supports networking capability. Also works with the configurator to support updates, bug fixes, and new capabilities. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Provide support for internal users in the installation, repair, and upgrading of desktop computer hardware and software. Performs operations of specifying, building/rebuilding, and maintaining server software and hardware, including system security, capacity monitoring, back-ups, and server-side application installation and setup. Maintains network hardware and software including access privileges, cabling, and capacity monitoring. Maintains communication hardware and software and acts as technical liaison to providers of telephone and Internet services. Sets up and maintains email services through the provider. Provides software support for both the ERP software and internally developed applications. Maintains the database servers, providing user access, performance tuning, and usage monitoring. Provides users with custom reports to obtain information not directly available through built-in features of the ERP. Performs software development tasks and most in-house software testing prior to release to users. Perform duties according to policies and procedures established and documented in Thermal's Quality Management System (QMS). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Required Education and Experience An associate degree or equivalent in computer science and two years of experience in networking is required Knowledge of SQL, Progress, Microsoft Office, Java, Visual Basics, and Crystal reports is essential Preferred Education and Experience Relevant software application certifications or advanced training Java and Network+/ Server Certification Additional Eligibility Qualifications A+ Certification EOE
