Lead Support Worker North Tyneside – North Shields Permanent full time (37.5 hours per week), working on a rota usually covering alternative weekends, the hours are 8am till 8pm. As a Lead support worker you will be working in the North Tyneside Area, the office is based at Railway Terrace North Shields, you will be working with customers out in the community at their homes and in the office. You’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know! Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator) Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans. Customer group - We support our brilliant customers with their mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, forensic history and dual diagnosis. Our customers are all under 117 aftercare which is to help customers who have been sectioned under section 3, 37,45A, 47 or 48 of the Mental Health Act 1983 at any time in their lives live independently in the community. Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able. Carrying out risk backssments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here!
